1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

2. How We Use Cookies

FamilyBridge uses cookies and similar technologies to provide, protect, and improve our supervised visitation management platform. Below is a detailed explanation of the cookies we use.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

3.2 Analytics Cookies (Optional)

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting anonymous information:

_ga, _ga_*, _gidGoogle Analytics — Aggregate website analytics. Set only if you accept analytics cookies via the cookie bannerUp to 2 years

3.3 Third-Party Cookies

ServicePurposeMore Info
StripePayment processing — Fraud prevention and secure transactions (e.g., __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid)Stripe Cookie Policy

3.4 Local Storage and Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, the Service stores some information directly in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB, including: your cookie-consent choice, analytics state (if you accepted analytics cookies), in-progress onboarding answers, and a temporary offline queue of visit location points awaiting upload when route capture is enabled. This data stays on your device until uploaded or cleared and can be removed by clearing the site's data in your browser.

Error monitoring and session replay. To help us detect and fix problems, our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) may record a limited, sampled replay of your session using your browser's session storage (not cookies). All text and form inputs are masked and images and other media are blocked, so the content you view and enter is not captured. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we use monitoring data.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

4.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these in the "Options" or "Preferences" menu of your browser. However, if you disable certain cookies, some features of our Service may not function properly.

4.2 Essential Cookies

Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the Service to function. Without these cookies, you would not be able to log in or use core features.

4.3 Analytics Opt-Out

When you first visit FamilyBridge, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. If you reject, analytics tracking is disabled and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage; to change it later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. For material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revised version constitutes acceptance of it.
